yoZ! hi peeps, MERRY X'MAS! so sorry... this greeting came a bit late coz i hav been working for the past 8days. only one word can describe it all: BORING! 1st day(22dec) of work was okay coz the shop was closed n i jux had to help out in gettin the shop ready for the nxt day sales. i did some scanning, price tagging n sensor tagging, hmm... pretty fun. but i v blur, often attach 2 sensor tags to an item. haha...

2nd day was the worst. i actually worked for 16hours, fr 7am-12am. Y_Y v. tiring... the long working hours almost drove me crazy n i tgt of quitting...

3rd day, i had almost made up my mind to resign, even if the company refuse to pay me my past 2days salary; i dont mind. but i saw perserverance in my new fren n determination to prove our parents wrong in my cousin. so i decided to stay put. 10 days only what, i told myself... ha...

so i began to count down each day...
10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...

n every hour...
13...12...11...10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...HOME!

Life as a sales assist is like hell. we folded all the clothes and displayed them in neat rows for the convenience of all customers; yet they took tt for granted and create a mess after browsing thru n selecting the pieces they want. why should i work this hard into the night then? y should i fold n hang them in order n let these ppl mess up later? it makes no sense to me. my job is meaningless. it's jux a cycle of folding, hanging and messing up. i jux hope the customers could at least spare a thought for others. if they put back their unwanted pieces back into place, at least it's easier for the next customer to spot the whole range of colors and sizes and get those they want. this would oso aid in our packing up at the end of the day. isn't this beneficial to everybody? sometimes i even see women snatching clothes. itz v scary as if they had nv in their entire lives see clothes before. cant they be more lady-like? cant they be gracious shoppers? sad to say, singaporean dont really show consideration for others. they simply dump unwanted clothes on the floor, flung them anywhere. sometimes even rubbish like tissue papers and mos burger cups can be found anong the clothes. i hate them! hate them for dirtying the clothes and the whole place. what's more they complain: why is this shop so messy? how am i going to shop this way? a branded shop on sales had turned into a pasar malam. the fitting rm is the most irritating place of all. we put a 'PLEASE DO NOT BROWSE!' sign there to stop ppl from disturbing our work while we sort out everything and re-distribute them to their respective shelves. but the ppl simply ignore this. they jux toss the clothes around, trying to look for their sizes they want. hey! are you all blind? cant you understand simple english? tell them politely not to browse yet they still ask me: if i m nt allowed to browse, den how am i suppose to buy clothes? !_! stupid ans... other than tt, there are also some women who dont close their doors properly when they try their clothes. >_< ee... disgusting... despite all these unhappiness, there are also some customers who really make my day. they thx us for clearing their enquiries and putting the clothes back for them... ^^

hMm... my colleagues are okay. but sometimes i felt tt we, the part-timers, were being bullied by the malays. they always made us put back the unwanted clothes tt were tried by the customers when it was not to be our area of concern. initially i helped them out, but not now coz why shld i go beyond my duty when these ppl are nt responsible enough for their own work? everyone has to carry out her duty so tt the load is lightened. do they understand this logic? they stress us too much and we might jux run away one day. if this ever happen, isn't their work loads heavier? as for the manager, she's stern looking. im quite scared to see her around. the assist manager iz much more friendly. at least she will smile at you and ask " How are you?" no matter hw tired she is. tt's y i like her more. the other colleagues sometimes quite cold (mayb they are tired) and sometimes approachable. weirdoS. haha. the part-timers are the best. other than my cousin, i hav made 3 new frens who are about our age. they are very easy-going ppl and i will rem them for lives. tt's for sure!

this is my 1st working experience and i've indeed learnt a lot from these 10 days.
1. it's nt easy to earn money (long torturing hours)
2. you need a goal to keep you going (my piano...)
3. hav to sacrifice family time for work and thus i cherish my family more (i miss dinning wiv them badly)
4. do not take things for granted ('thanks dad for every little thing tt you gav me')
5. work hard, play hard (i deserve tt)
6. be smart! don't be naive and let others take advantage of you
7. make frens so tt life will be more colourful

there are simply too many things to be listed down... 10 days of experience, 10 days of nightmares, 10 days of torture... it gona end soon... yeah! my plan next is to get another job which is simpler and has a shorter working hours. i wan to dine wiv my family. i wan to hang ard wiv all my frens before their hectic jc lives begin. i wan to spend time planning for my own future and my routes after Os. i cant afford to lose these 3mths. time is very precious.
